The film features specially recorded extracts from The Symphonies, Job, The Lark Ascending and The Tallis Fantasia as well as newly discovered interviews with the composer himself and the last ever interview with his widow Ursula. In addition there are interviews with many of those who knew and worked with the composer including Harrison Birtwistle, John Adams, Mark-Anthony Turnage and Michael Tippett.
