Neuroscience and Behaviour
- Synopsis
- How is behaviour organised and why do we behave as we do? Neuroscientist Susan Greenfield discusses the importance of neuroscience. She uses Maguire’s recent study exploring brain structure by examining the brains of London taxi drivers as an example of how our experiences can impact on our neural development. The film includes clear explanations of neurons, neural interactions and transmitters. Addiction and the role of drugs in upsetting the balance of the brain chemistry is also discussed.
