Synopsis
Documentary about Steinway & Sons’ chief technician and Master Tuner in Vienna, Stefan Knüpfer, whose relationship with various famous concert pianists is explored over the course of a film which shows how Knüpfer draws on seemingly boundless reserves of patience to tune to exactly the right tone the instruments of musicians including Lang Lang, Alfred Brendel and Pierre-Laurent Aimand.
