Synopsis
Historical documentary that explores the origins of the modern Olympic Games. The film follows the progress of three athletes who visit sites of the ancient Olympics and attempt to recreate different Olympic techniques and disciplines. They also journey to England to take part in Robert Dover’s Olimpick Games and the Much Wenlock Olympian Games, both of which were 19th century forerunners of the modern Olympics. Among the extras included on the DVD is Miles’ documentary Daley Thompson’s Decathlon.
