Synopsis

Filmmakers Michele Hozer and Peter Raymont use rare footage of classical musician Glenn Gould in performance and in interviews, as their documentary looks at the private life of the pianist exploring the facts behind his hypochondria, drug use, and his relationships with women. The filmmakers argue that Gould’s legendary eccentricities may have been part of a facade constructed by the pianist to challenge and provoke his audience. The film features archive footage, home movies, newsreels, interviews and family photographs.
