Synopsis
A DVD produced from the South West Film & Television Archive (SWFTA). During the sixties the local South West TV company Westward Television produced a documentary TV programme about each of these artists. For the first time these are now available on one DVD with the original soundtrack.

THE POTTER’S ART (1970, 26 minutes) - A unique insight into the life and work of Bernard Leach, interviewed and seen at work in his Cornish studio. Narrated by Jack Emery.

BARBARA HEPWORTH (1968, 26 minutes) - Dame Barbara Hepworth speaks of her early life and how she is inspired by the dramatic Cornish landscape. She is seen at work and visiting the Morris Singer foundry in London to watch one of her bronzes being cast. Narrated by Clive Gunnell.

The DVD also includes an early Black & White film of both artists being granted the freedom of St Ives.
