R D Laing Radio Series

Synopsis

A three-part CBC radio series broadcast in 1988. This portrait to the controversial Scottish psychiatrist R.D Laing was drawn from lectures, demonstrations and conversations with Laing recorded in Vancouver in 1988. The series also features interviews with psychologists Andrew Feldmar and Patricia Wilensky and a reading by Laing from his essay ‘The Bird of Paradise’. Individual programmes are entitled: THE LIES OF LOVE; THE MAN WHO WALKED BACKWARDS; DREAMING IN COLOR.
