Stockholm Solution, The

Synopsis
At the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm they are pioneering a radical approach to treating anorexia, which has had marked success compared with conventional treatments. They have stopped using drugs and psychiatric treatment, and putting the blame on the families; instead they teach the patient how to eat all over again. They claim ‘when you eat right, the problems in your head slowly disappear’. So far their claims have been ignored; they would like to see them tested elsewhere.
