Battle of the Pyramid, The
- Alternative title
- Bataille de la Pyramide, La
- Synopsis
- The film is based on the notepad jottings of architect Yann Weymouth, the man who worked closest to I.M. Pei, the architect who designed the Grand Louvre. Featuring a haphazard collection of sketches, collages and personal notes, these notepads provide a real insight into the adventure that was this major architectural project commissioned by the then French President François Mitterrand. The film also features the opinions of craftspeople, curators, site foremen and politicians, who provide honest and frank accounts of the design and tumultuous completion of the Pyramid.
