What Next for Adult Social Care?

Synopsis
Video recording of a lecture presented presented by Frances Patterson QC in London on 15 July 2011 as the first in Pavilion’s series of FridayFocus lectures, which discuss and debate pressing issues within the social welfare sector. This lecture explores the Law Commission’s final report on the reform of adult social care law, published in May 2011. The recommendations amount to the most far-reaching reform of adult social care law seen for over 60 years. The lecture sets out the structure of the new legal framework with a single adult social care statute and supporting code of practice.
