Recording of the Sir David Rivett Memorial Lecture, delivered by geneticist Professor Steve Jones at the CSIRO in Canberra on 13/3/2011 and broadcast on television in Australia, in which he discusses nature and nurture and the difficulty of separating them. He covers topics as diverse as the genetics of the royal family and the Siamese cat, what happens to those who eat too much cake, and whether genes might indeed influence our chance of becoming obese.
