Small is Beautiful

Synopsis
This Canadian film looks at the life and work of E. F. Schumacher, author of Small is Beautiful. It was shot partly in England where Schumacher and George McRobie of the Intermediate Technology Institute discuss and illustrate Schumacher’s ideas. Additional filming to contrast large scale and intermediate technology experiments was completed in Newfoundland. The film reflects the broad visions of the author which have continued to gain an ardent following around the world, despite his death.
