Synopsis: Directed by Sobaz Benjamin, who was brought up in England and moved to Grenada before settling in Canada. He highlights some conflicts around race, heroically exposing himself in the process: a black man who grew up trying to bleach his skin with chemicals, and then struggled to appreciate the meaning of his heritage. Also shown is a white man who is culturally and psychologically black, having been brought up by a black family, a black woman who wants to be considered iconically Canadian, and another black woman who retreats to England rather than continue to face Canada’s racial cold war.
