Hosted by art historian, broadcaster and writer Tim Marlow, THE NUDE IN ART explores the depiction and symbolic resonance of the naked body throughout history. The four part series takes an in-depth look at the ‘Classical’, ‘Renaissance’, ‘Enlightenment’, and ‘Modern’ era. Included in the series are: Venus de Milo; Venus of Willendorf; Botticelli’s Birth of Venus; Michelangelo’s David; Giotto’s The Last Judgement; Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson; Ingre’s Turkish Bath; Rodin’s The Age of Bronze; Manet’s Olympia; Picasso’s Les Demoiselles D’Avignon and Bacon’s Triptych.
