- Synopsis
- Video of a stage performance. A co-production between FACE to FACE (Denmark) and TheatreWorks (Singapore). The performance, which centres around an absent Hamlet, was created via a workshop process. The work began with a week’s workshop in Singapore in December 2001 and was followed by another week-long workshop in Elsinore in April 2002. The rehearsal process began in July 2002 in Denmark. In the workshops, the artists developed their characters by using their individual disciplines and specific cultural backgrounds. Each participant enters a dialogue that develops and interprets the contemporary search for Hamlet in their cultures and
communities today. - Language
