Time There was, A: Stories from the Last Days of Kenya Colony

Synopsis
Under British rule, white settlers in Kenya claimed the land of hills and valleys, and all its gifts, but by the 1950s they could no longer stem the tide of long-simmering resentment by the colonised Kikuyu people. Donald McWilliams was there, and he returns to Kenya to confront his past. Combining his own photographic records with archival footage, original animation and interviews with players from both sides, he tells the story of the Mau Mau rebellion.
