Synopsis

This adaptation of the one-act Tennessee Williams play ‘Orpheus Descending’ stars Marlon Brando as the drifter in a small Southern town who provokes violence and lust in equal measure. Directed by Sydney Lumet and co-starring the Academy Award-winning actresses Joanne Woodward, Anna Magnani and Maureen Stapleton. The Criterion Collection special edition DVD includes many extras, including:
