Dying Wish

Synopsis
A film of a courageous 80-year-old retired surgeon with terminal cancer facing his final days with the help of a loving family and a supportive hospice team. We see him with his family and carers as he takes his final meal, before stopping eating and drinking altogether and becoming gradually weaker. Friends play music for him, and the atmosphere is one of calm and acceptance.

A guide to making best use of the film is supplied. This focuses on talking points within the film. The goal is to foster discussion of sensitive issues that arise at the end of life, to provide education and validate experiences. It has been used effectively with healthcare professionals and volunteers working with the dying.
