School for Scandal, The
- Synopsis
- A production of Sheridan’s The School for Scandal performed at Greenwich Theatre in London during October 2009. Directed by Elizabeth Freestone, the play was staged in order to be recorded in front of a live audience, on high definition video using multiple cameras, and then made available on DVD for students studying the play as part of the National Curriculum syllabus. The excellent ensemble cast includes familiar faces from the RSC, the National and the West End, with many with major TV and film credits to their names.
This three disc pack contains: The full length feature DVD, with optional subtitles. The extras DVD, with in-depth interviews with cast and crew. The Mastershot DVD showing all entrances/exits, and lighting and scenery changes. - Language

- Stage on Screen is an initiative that professionally stages classic plays at the Greenwich Theatre, London, recording them to deliver the look and feel of a live performance. These recordings are then made available on DVD. The plays staged are all set texts in the UK National Curriculum. Teacher Packs containing support materials are available separately. Plays currently available are: Doctor Faustus, School for Scandal, Volpone and The Duchess of Malfi. Future productions are likely to include Antigone, A Doll’s House, Lady Windermere’s Fan, The Alchemist and The White Devil.
