Synopsis
A series of six 25-minute television programmes in which palaeontologist Julian Hume and archaeologist Peter Floore search for evidence as to why certain animals became extinct. Using scientific research, advanced computer graphics technology and animatronics, the series looks at the lives and demise of the dodo, sabre-tooth tiger, mammoth, great auk, Tasmanian tiger and Irish elk.
