Combine Harvesters (2 Parts)

Synopsis: These two DVDs show a representative sample of the full range of combine harvesters to be found at work in the UK. Forty five machines are shown, from all the major manufacturers including: Case, Claas, Deutz-Fahr, Bonhill, IH, John Deere, Laverda, Massey Harris, Masey Ferguson, and New Holland. Recorded during the 2009 harvest on many different farms in East Anglia, the combines are shown working in a variety of situations and with all the cereal crops. The two programmes are divided by age of machine, with the earlier machines - some such as the Claas SF dating back to the 1960s - shown in Part 1, and the Part 2 coming up to date with the first 40ft wide header to be found in the UK.
