That Hagan Girl

Synopsis
Feature film. Mary Hagan (Temple) lives in small-town Ohio and is subject to vicious gossip about the identity of her father, Tom Bates (Reagan), rumoured to be a prominent lawyer. Bates rescues her when she throws herself in the river and appears to fall in love with Mary. Julia encourages Mary to audition for a part in Romeo and Juliet but pressure from the college authorities force her to give the role to another student.
