Air Crash Investigation and Escape

Synopsis
For decades Britain led the world in aviation technology, thanks largely to the work of the Royal Aircraft Establishment with centres at Farnborough, Bedford and throughout the UK. These rare and often previously unreleased films from the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust archive capture the work of the RAE and other British institutions in pioneering the frontiers of aviation and - in many cases - feature precious footage of the aircraft of the era. Includes: Comet Accident Investigation, Recovery Of Aircraft Accident Data, Escape Problems for Moving Crew Members, Use Of Oxygen During Escape From Ditched Aircraft, Escape From Aircraft In Flight and Soft Ground Arresting.
