Social Toddler, The

Synopsis
THE SOCIAL BABY is an innovative DVD which is based on established research about the development of infant communication. It provides a window into the rich and complex social world of babies and looks at individual responses to voice, smell and sensitivity to the environment. The DVD supports parents and carers to manage crying by helping babies to calm themselves and also provides strategies for feeding and developing a consistent sleeping pattern.

The DVD is based on ‘The Social Baby’ book by Lynne Murray and Liz Andrews and uses footage filmed during its making. Produced in partnership with NSPCC, the DVD is
part of the NSPCC’s ongoing Protecting Babies and Toddlers campaign
