Synopsis
4-part series in which John Cleese embarks on a quest to unravel the secrets of the human face. First broadcast on BBC1 in 2001.

1) FACE TO FACE: how we use our faces to make friends and influence people. Considers the negative impact that technology has had on human relations. With Elizabeth Hurley. 2) HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU: considers the processes that take place in the brain when someone looks at a face and why they can provoke such strong emotions. 3) BEAUTY: Do universal rules of beauty exist?
