Zimbardo Speaks

Synopsis
Recording of a talk given by Dr Philip Zimbardo at a psychology conference for sixth form students organised by South West Conferences in 2008 in which he talks about his recent work. He tackles key topics relating to why ‘good’ people do ‘evil’ actions (conformity, prejudice, aggression, social influence, anti-social behaviour) based on both historical and very recent events including the well-publicised behaviour of US soldiers at Abu Ghraib prison towards Iraqi prisoners.
