Audio recording of the ‘Democracy and Broadcasting: is Scotland being served?' debate, organised by the Scottish Broadcasting Commission and held on the 6th May 2008. This event, held in Glasgow, was an opportunity for a panel of industry insiders and commentators to explore this issue and discuss questions raised by the audience.

On the panel were: Scottish Editor, The Daily Telegraph, Alan Cochrane; Head of Demos Scotland, Gerry Hassan; The Deputy Director General BBC and Chair of BBC Journalism Board, Mark Byford; The Editor-in-Chief for ITV News, David Mannion; and Sunday Herald Columnist and commentator, Iain MacWhirter. The Chair was broadcaster Stuart Cosgrove.
