Clues from Children’s Mealtimes

Synopsis
When mothers present with worries about their child’s eating behaviour or where there are concerns about the child’s weight, observation of mealtimes are an essential element of assessment. Poor mealtime management can cause a great deal of stress and worry for any mother and child, changing what should be a happy and relaxed social time for both of them into a miserable and dreaded event. This training pack of video and booklet allows professionals to observe parent-child interaction during feeding and eating; make deductions from what they see about child development issues and reflect on how to improve their own professional practice.
