- Synopsis
- An introduction to modern house building. It follows the construction of a small housing estate, built on the grounds of a former hospital, and developed jointly by Bovis Homes and Knightstone Housing Association. The film briefly describes modern construction practice and where possible makes some comparisons with more traditional methods of construction. The film includes a brief look at the following elements: foundations, external walls, ground floors, upper floors, roofing, finishes, services.
