Beowulf & Grendel
- Synopsis
- An adaptation of the classic Anglo-Saxon heroic poem. Beowulf (Gerard Butler) leads a troop of warriors across the sea to help an old friend, King Rothgar (Stellan Skarsgard) whose kingdom is being ravaged by Grendel, a great and murderous troll. Beowulf slays the demon Grendel and incurs the wrath of its monstrous yet seductive mother (Sarah Polley), in a conflict which transforms a king into a legend.
