Synopsis
Radio version of the play performed by the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre Company with Peggy Ashcroft as Portia and Michael Redgrave as Shylock. Produced by William Hughes from Denis Carey’s 1953 production at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon. The music is composed by Julian Slade, orchestrated and conducted by Harold Ingram and played by the Memorial Theatre Orchestra.
