Shakespeare im Fernsehen

Synopsis
Radio broadcast. Austrian-born American dance historian Walter Sorell interviews Maurice Evans on his opinions about adapting Shakespeare for television. They talk about the recent renaissance of Shakespeare adaptations in America, about the differences between theatre and television (the small screen, according to Evans, forces the director to "think in depth"), on the problems of acting for television, about the "wonderful probing eyes of the camera", the lack of audience response, and about Evans’ own experience with his production of The Taming of the Shrew (1956).
