- Synopsis
- A musical set in old Vienna about the composer Otto Nicolai, who wrote Die Lustige Weiber von Windsor, based on Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor. The film incorporates some of Nicolai’s music and a few excerpts of scenes from the opera. The choir of the Deutschen Opernhaus, Berlin is conducted by Hermann Luddecke.
