Killing Mr Griffin

Synopsis
Made-for-television film. Mr Griffin, a strict high school Latin teacher, humiliates several of his students in the classroom. In retaliation Mark Kinney plots to kidnap Griffin. The plan goes wrong when Griffin dies, the students abandoning him without his medication. The class is discussing and reading aloud from Act III i of Julius Caesar and Amy’s reading of the title role at the start of the assassination scene lacks the arrogance that Mr. Griffin demands. The theme of Julius Caesar continues and there are loose parallels in character and structure, for example Griffin resembles Caesar and Mark resembles Cassius.
