- Synopsis
- British television comedy series. Includes a sketch, presented in newsreel style, satirising Mary Whitehouse’s campaign against pornography. A coach load of ‘pepperpots’ (middle-class grey-haired women with Mary Whitehouse-style glasses) race around Britain cleaning up the arts. On a theatre stage Desdemona lies on a bed with Othello. The pepperpots race onto the stage and pull him off.
