Synopsis
Video recording, using a single, fixed camera, of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2003 production of The Tamer Tamed by John Fletcher. The play was first performed in 1611 and is a comedic sequel to Shakespeare’s 1594 play The Taming of the Shrew.The plot switches the gender roles of Shakespeare’s play: the women seek to tame the men. Katherine (the "shrew" of the original) has died, and Petruchio takes a second wife, Maria. Directed by Gregory Doran with Jasper Britton as Petruchio and Alexandra Gilbreath as Maria.
