Interviewer, The

Synopsis
This multimedia software has been developed to enable students to practise their interview technique and skills of self-presentation as realistically as possible, and at very low cost. It also helps students who lack the confidence to perform in real or simulated interviews and who need some private space to develop their approach and their skills. The software works by presenting the user with a wide range of interview situations and a choice of interviewer. It then takes the user through the chosen interview and videos their responses via a webcam. These can be reviewed and re-recorded as many times as required.

The Interviewer gives students: opportunities to practise their responses to real interview questions, as often as they like; a non-threatening environment to develop their skills; the opportunity to review and reflect upon their own performance; additional feedback and guidance presented on screen or as printed handouts; flexible use, either as a stand-alone resource or as part of a course or module on career planning.
