Synopsis
US documentary series analysing the physiology and psychology of laughter. In episode 4, INHIBITION, E.B. Pettit (Chairman of Arts, Brandeis University) explains Freud’s theory that laughter helps people to release their inhibitions. During the programme performers read excerpts from speeches of Falstaff and Edward Lear’s poem ‘The Quangle Wangle Hat’.
