Synopsis
BBC current affairs television programme. In this item presenter Vera Gilbert reports from St George’s Theatre, Tufnell Park, London. St George’s is an Elizabethan-style theatre which was converted from a Victorian church. The theatre company specialises in Shakespearean productions, performed as they were in Shakespeare’s time in Elizabethan or Jacobean dress. The programme features interviews with actor Bernard Hepton, and George Murcell, the artistic director of the theatre. Includes excerpts from the company’s production of Julius Caesar.
