Synopsis
Television programme in which American conductor Lorin Maazel contrasts the different compositions inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and relates them to excerpts from the show. The Philharmonic Orchestra plays music from Tchaikovsky, Berlioz and Prokofiev.
