Designing a Chair: Sitting Pretty

Synopsis
Looks at chair design from two slightly different perspectives. One is presented by Julian Pratt, Co-ordinator Furniture Programs, RMIT University. His is a fairly standard ‘by-the-book’ approach. The other commentators are Chris Connell and Raoul Hogg, internationally known designers and co-directors of MAP. These practitioners take a more lateral, less academic approach to the question of design. The programme looks at all aspects of the design process from the brief through to the evaluation of the final product by the client.
