Dream in Hanoi, A

Synopsis
Documentary film. Twenty five years after the end of the Vietnam War, two theatre companies, one American and one Vietnamese, collaborate to stage the first production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Vietnam. The film follows the actors, directors and technicians from both countries as they struggle to surmount obstacles of language, culture and ideology on their journey to the opening night at Hanoi’s Opera House. The film features Vietnam’s renowned Central Dramatic Company of Vietnam.
