Synopsis
Television series. In the first episode of this workshop documentary series on 7 of Shakespeare’s plays, Michael Bogdanov, associate director at the National Theatre, leads a group of NT actors through aspects of Shakespeare’s plays in front of an interrogative and lively audience. The focus is on the question whether Shakespeare’s play debases women, or shows how women are debased.
Directed for television by Mary McMurray, with David Deutsch as Executive Producer and Naomi Sargant as commissioning editor.
