Synopsis
Feature film. A withdrawn girl who becomes pregnant by her boyfriend is shunned by the people in her small American town of Buckeye Basin. After the baby has been put up for adoption she escapes to the world of theatre, captivated by seeing a version of The Tempest. She becomes the lover of a stage-hand with a touring Shakespearean troupe. There are scenes from Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth; the Shakespeare sequences are staged by Stephen Tobolowsky.
