Giving Evidence: What’s It Really Like?
- Synopsis
- A video/DVD that aims to help young witnesses feel more confident and better equipped to give evidence. It also helps them to understand their role in the court process and to tell their supporter about their wishes and concerns. Consisting of three modules which - depending on the needs and the concentration span of the viewer - can be viewed separately or together, it is best seen before the witnesss pre-trial visit to court. The video has been approved by the Judicial Studies Board.
NB It is important, especially on the first viewing, that witnesses are not left to watch the video on their own.
