Synopsis
Dulwich Picture Gallery is England’s first purpose-built public art gallery. Designed by Sir John Soane, the influential building holds one of the world’s finest Old Master collections including great works by Poussin, Rubens, Canaletto, Reynolds and Gainsborough. This film goes behind the scenes at the gallery, offering an insider’s view of a vibrant working world. Included are the restoration of Rembrandt’s Girl at a Window, exhibition re-hangs, the work of the gallery’s award-winning education team, and extensive interviews with the key creatives.

The 30-minute documentary addresses the gallery’s remarkable history, architecture and collection, and is complemented by an additional twenty 3-minute films looking at a selection of its finest masterpieces.
