Whose Business? Stakeholders, Ethics and the Market Economy
- Synopsis
- Using case-study examples, this film explores the different ways of looking at a business such as the people who work for it or figures on a balance sheet. Any business, regardless of size, has inputs, functions, and outputs. But external factors also play a key role. Examines how far stakeholders’ interests are actually taken into account and how to reconcile the sometimes competing goals of different interest groups within a business. Also looks at corporate social responsibility and the possible conflict between ethical trading, the profit motive, and those products that are inherently irresponsible.
