Synopsis
A documentary about post-Soviet transition in Kyrgyzstan after a decade of structural reform. While illustrating the traditional pastoral life of the Kyrgyz (animated by Kyrgyz music) the film addresses issues of industrial depression, corruption, and the emigration of the Russian population since the Soviet collapse. The film was made on a shoestring budget by an English postgraduate student and a Kyrgyz contemporary.
