Shapes of the Invisible

Synopsis
A series of 22 short scientific films, each up to 3 minutes in length, providing the chance to zoom into the atomic structure of 22 objects of daily life (steel, brass, concrete, aluminium, ceramic, hair, clay, carbon fibre, plastic, huma tooth, wood) or "living materials" (leaf, crab, skin, butterfly, flower, fish, louse, eye, corn, fly, mushroom). The same visual principle is used in each film - a regular, fluid forward zoom, beginning with the subject as seen by the naked eye, then exploring texture or composition, using electronic microscopes and high-definitition cameras.
