Danger of Death

Synopsis: Features Ian Smith who lost both hands and feet as a result of contact with an overhead electricity cable. This and other reconstructions of past accidents are used to show how they can be avoided. The video illustrates the dangers of approaching too close to, or actually touching, overhead power cables with scaffold tubes, cranes or any other piece of construction plant. It explains how to comply with current legislation and directs the viewer towards HSE guidance. It is aimed at keeping operatives safe and away from the dangers of overhead electricity supply cables.
